It looks like a DR650, in fact it’s a Kerry plated DR. Underneath is a completely Irish built motor, chassis and components (sure, it has Ohlins and some other tasty bits, but other than than a Suzuki steering head with VIN #, it’s Kerry-Made.
The motor was built here in Ireland. Loosely based on the DR motor to fit into a similar chassis, it’s the test unit for a future company to make motorcycles here in Kerry. This powerplant makes enough HP to power a dual sport chassis like this or a sport/racing bike.
Current electrics are bespoke with a few Bosch parts to keep it reliable. Instead of a “Black Box” it uses a ultra low voltage point system which negates the need for a complex system.
Carbs are mandatory, flat slides currently for the trip but the prototype injection system is viable for road use.
